FAQ
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is a holistic, root-cause approach that uses real food and targeted lifestyle habits to support your body’s natural balance. Unlike generic diets or quick-fix plans, we focus on the five foundational tools — blood sugar balance, mineral balance, fatty acids, nutrient-dense diet, and stress/sleep support — to help your hormones, energy, and metabolism work with you instead of against you. As an NTA-certified practitioner, I teach women exactly how to use these foundations so they can move through life feeling steady, energized, and fully present with their children and grandchildren.
What does it mean to be NTA-certified?
I completed rigorous training through the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA), one of the most respected functional nutrition schools in the world. The NTA’s bio-individual, foundational approach is the backbone of everything I do. This certification ensures you’re working with a practitioner who truly understands how to support the body using real food first — not supplements alone — so you get lasting results instead of short-term relief.
Who do you work with?
I specialize in middle-aged women (typically 40–60) who want a smooth transition into, through, and beyond menopause. Whether you’re just noticing the first shifts or you’re already in the thick of hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings, or brain fog, my programs are designed for busy moms and grandmas who want their energy back so they can keep up with the life they love — chasing kids, playing with grandbabies, and staying active without feeling drained.
I also work with women who have tried everything — diets, supplements, doctors, you name it — but are still struggling with stubborn health issues, crushing fatigue, unwanted weight gain, and just don’t know what else to do. If that’s you, the five foundational tools (blood sugar balance, mineral balance, fatty acids, nutrient-dense diet, and stress/sleep support) often unlock the missing pieces that generic approaches miss. I meet you exactly where you are and create a personalized plan that finally feels sustainable and effective.
What foundational tools will we actually use together?
We focus on the same five foundations the Nutritional Therapy Association teaches:
• Blood sugar balance (so you stop riding the energy and mood roller-coaster)
• Mineral balance (the spark plugs for hormones and energy)
• Fatty acids (for healthy hormones and brain clarity)
• Nutrient-dense diet (real food that nourishes instead of depletes)
• Stress & sleep support (because no diet works well when your nervous system is fried)
We’ll personalize these tools to your body and lifestyle so you get results that actually stick.
How is this different from seeing my doctor?
Nutritional Therapy is complementary to your medical care — it’s not a replacement. Doctors are wonderful for diagnosis and acute care; I help you fill in the daily, food-and-lifestyle pieces that support your body between appointments. Many of my clients work with both their doctor and me and love having a complete team.
What does a typical session or package look like?
Most women start with a free 30-minute discovery call so we can see if we’re a great fit. From there, my 1:1 Nourish:Balance:Thrive Package includes 12 weeks of personalized guidance: weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, meal plans built around the five foundations, recipe support, and plenty of hand-holding so you never feel overwhelmed.
How soon will I notice results?
Most women feel a shift in energy and fewer menopause symptoms within the first 3–4 weeks once we dial in blood sugar and mineral balance. Deeper hormonal and mood improvements usually show up by weeks 6–8. Everyone’s bio-individual, but the women who follow the foundational tools consistently are the ones who tell me they finally feel like “the old me” — only better — and can keep up with their schedules, kids and grandkids without crashing.
Is Nutritional Therapy covered by insurance?
At this time my services are private-pay (many women use HSA or FSA funds). The investment is in results that last — not another temporary band-aid. I keep my programs affordable for busy women because I know how important this work is for your quality of life.
What if I have dietary restrictions, food sensitivities, or other health conditions?
Perfect — that’s exactly why the work is bio-individual! We’ll customize every recommendation around your unique needs, preferences, and any diagnoses you already have. The goal is always gentle, sustainable changes that feel good in your real life.
